Dave — The Boy Who Played the Harp World Tour
Luke Halls Studio
Role: Animator / Illustrator / Previsualisation Artist
Working with Luke Halls Studio on Dave’s The Boy Who Played the Harp world tour was an incredible experience and a project that taught me a huge amount across both creative development and live production.
I was involved from the early previsualisation stages through to production and onsite delivery. At the beginning of the project, I created look development and previs files in Unreal Engine, developing style frames to help shape the visual direction of the show.
For “Verdansk”, I worked on a 3D scene made up of stone sculptural elements, creating and animating the assets in 3D before texturing them in Substance Painter.
During the onsite delivery phase, the project required fast problem- solving and the ability to create or adapt assets quickly. As set lists changed and tracks were rearranged, I supported the team with additional 3D and 2D assets wherever needed, helping ensure the visuals remained flexible and show-ready.
As the project progressed, I created illustrations and handwritten visual elements that appeared throughout the performance. These became a recurring motif, helping to tie the show’s visual language and narrative together.
